Like Jimmy said, I would pull the tank, and fuel pump assembly and inspect the connection there. IIRC, the sensor is a white piece sitting on a tab off the main assembly, that has a connector inside the tank. Maybe that has worked loose? Also, check the harness from under the tank on the left side where it runs back along the frame to the under the seat, or that box behind the engine. There may be a chafed or damaged wire in that harness.
