Angry front forks

hi 2019 roadster. when crossing a speed bump at low speed i get a load metallic bang from the shocks . any idea of the problem.
the bang is not from compression but when it extends. like a lack of recoil rubber,

Have you checked your fork oil? If the damper is low on oil, it can cause that as it relies on the oil to slow the rebound.

It could also be one of the bolts on the bottom of the fork leg coming loose/broken/missing etc.

Your best bet it to first figure out which fork is making the noise, as it appears only one side has the damper, but the springs are on both. There is an exploded view on Ronnies site so you can see whats going on inside.

There does not appear to be a rebound bumper.

It looks like someone had a pair of pliers on the damper?
