Rear wheel alignment for 2016 Roadster

After changing the tire or belt, your whole wheel needs to be aligned or your tire will wear out prematurely.
You will need the following tools (for alignment only):
1. A Vernier caliper
2. Hollow axle plug tool (2 Plugs)
3. an 1/8" drill bit
4. a Belt tension gauge
5. 1/2 in. wrench

The rear axle is hollow and the holes on each side are of a different size, hence the 2 plugs.
There is small hole on each side of the fork about 3 inches from the axle: that is your alignment register in relation to the axle and your drill bit will be inserted backwards so it's squared in the hole.
Once you have the wheel mounted on the fork, you will measure by equal distances from the center of the axle aided by the plugs, which has centered holes also, there are 2 nuts (1/2") on the tips to aid the adjusting the alignment.
Once finished, torque the main axle nut to 95 lbs - 105 lbs.

The photos are self explanatory.

Now a word about the plugs; These are for sale in Amazon by Jim's Tools for about $200.00, also for sale in Amazon or EBay are the same plugs for $18.00 - $28.00 by V-Twin Mfg. part no. 16-0332 / FITS 2008-UP Dyna-XL. Difference? Jim's are blue and V-Twin's are red.
As you are aligning the rear wheel you are also adjusting the drive belt to 10 lbs. tension at the same time.
Easy Peasy!
